Xel-Ha & Tulum.

When John & I booked Cancun, we had one major goal: visit Mayan ruins. I just wanted to explore some history and he wanted to get in touch with his inner Indiana Jones.

By the pool in the hotel, there was an excursion booth so we booked through the company, Xcaret. They offered a great deal to book two excursions. We decided on going to Xel Ha, a tropical park in the Riviera Maya, and the ruins of Tulum. That was just one excursion! The next one we booked was Xenotes.

The tour picked us up really early, like 7am early. (mind you, the night before we got a call at 3am from John saying Timb was missing..he stayed out and partied all night!) We made our way to the ruins of Tulum. The second half of the day was spent at Xel-Ha.

I don't have many pictures from XelHa, but it was so much fun. We cliff jumped. It was a first for all of us. It was so exhilarating! I was apprehensive to do it,(didn't want to experience a nip slip-boobie pop out)  but I'm so glad we did. We knew if the Xenotes excursion had cliff jumps, we had to do it.  We "floated" down the lazy river. I was relaxed but Ant pretty much paddled us to get us to the end. Timb lost his tube early on and just swam the way. We climbed on ropes, snorkeled in a cave and zip lined.

As previously stated, the next adventure was the Xenotes Oasis Maya Tour.
